Artificial Turf Holds Onto Germs and Bacteria
Artificial turf can harbor germs and bacteria because, unlike natural grass, it lacks living soil microbes that compete with and break down organic waste. Moisture from rain, sweat, or pet urine, combined with debris and waste trapped in the infill, creates an ideal environment for bacteria to survive and multiply. The plastic fibers and infill can also trap heat and form biofilms—sticky layers that protect microbes from sunlight and cleaning agents. "Anti-Microbial" infill has a low efficacy rate and is almost completely ineffective after 1-2 years.

Turf Inspection | With each service, we will do a turf inspection to ensure there are no issues with lifting around the edges or seams. Additional nails may be added to ensure a proper hold. |
Deep Debris Removal | Specialized turf vacuum and power brooms are used to remove surface debris as well as debris lodged deep within the turf fibers. |
Power Broom Fluff | Specialized turf power brooms are used to deeply penetrate the turf fibers and redistribute the infill. This allows the turf to be properly seated in the infill to maintain a more vertical appearance. |
Disinfectant/Mold/Mildew Cleaner Treatment | This natural, pet and human-safe cleaner will effectively kill bacteria, germs, mold, and mildew that live in your turf. Through this process, mild odors will also be eliminated. No bio-films will be left on the turf surface. |
Heavy-Duty Odor/Urine Enzyme Treatment | This natural pet and human-safe cleaner uses special enzymes to break down the urea in pet waste, which is responsible for the deep-set odors. *May require multiple treatments if the area has never been cleaned or maintained. |
